Mangoes, ice cream, staying indoors, and rising temperatures are telltale signs that summer is here and yellow as a color certainly adds that much-needed summer announcement to your closet! If there is one essential that needs to be in your wardrobe for summer, it’s the maxi dress. Whenever I have to get ready to head out, the easiest choice for me is to pick out a maxi dress and team it up with some statement jewelry or go one step further and accessorize with a lovely pair of heels. Boom! I’m ready to slay any party with hardly any effort.

Have you spotted this gorgeous color popping up everywhere? I am a sucker for yellow, so here today I am wearing a yummy yellow summer screamer maxi dress. I love how this dress is versatile and can be used for simple days out as well as an occasion that needs dressing up. Moreover, they not only look good but also help stay cool through summer. Keeping the look simple and all eyes on yellow, I paired up this dress with a gold neck-piece, tassels earrings, and flats.

Before I leave for my party, I would like to remind you to decide the length of the dress before you go ahead and buy it. The length of the dress just below the ankle, nearly touching your feet (neither too short nor too long) is dainty, feminine and easy to walk without tripping too. That’s my go-to length. But check your height before you go shopping since long dresses could make short girls look stocky and very tall girls look lanky.

If you’re comfortable and are able to walk without grabbing a handful of the fabric in your hands, you’re all set!

There is no doubt that this season culottes are having a big moment in the fashion world. These stylish pants are so versatile and give a flawlessly flattering shape to the body and allow an array of possibilities to wear them. At first, it can be tricky to style culottes but once u nail the look you will be wondering how you ever lived without them. They make a great travel staple and currently have replaced my stack of straight pants, denim, and trousers!

Culottes make an outfit look perfect, be it a casual day out, lunch date, formal meeting, or last-minute dinner plans this style doesn’t fail to impress! And are available in various patterns, and lengths. If you are too scared of the prints try a monotone pair to ease into this style. You can style them with a crop top, any solid color top, cold shoulder top, blouses, boxy tops, sweater, jacket, options are endless! For petite girl’s vertical culottes is apt as it creates the illusion of height.

Wearing burgundy solid top + flared culottes, that I recently shopped from one of my favorite online site Missamore. One thing I loved about this brand is the unique style of their outfits which make you look just ‘perfect’ for any occasion.  I am loving their collection and definitely, goanna go back to #MISSA MORE and shop as much as I can.

IMG_2819.PNGThe current fashion trend is flooded with reminiscences of the 90’s! I’m a big fan of dungarees since childhood, Dungarees are back into the catwalk at runways, celebrity closet and are a street style staple. I personally adore dungarees as the level of comfort is raised to infinity whenever I am in them! Dungarees bring about the old school vibe like none other!

Dungarees have some fascinating history which I found while doing a little research on my outfit today. I’m thrilled to share!!

In the17th century, dungarees were first mentioned in a dockside village named “Dongri” located in Mumbai. In Hindi, it was called as “dungri”. For manufacturing purposes, it was exported to England where Englishmen began to call dungri as “dungaree’’. Originally dungarees were used as protective clothing by farmers, slaves, and laborers. They became popular amongst workers as they were durable and inexpensive and for the same reason carried a stigma of low status. However, this trend gradually changed when women began wearing dungarees during the First World War as it was the perfect outfit for those working in factories and needed protective clothing like men. They appeared back in fashion in the 40’s and 50’s initially with children wear and since then, dungarees have been quite eminent and IN and OUT of fashion.

Oh! I am wearing dungarees sourced from stalkbuylove, with a simple yellow tee, paired with white sneakers!
